Deliver Rich, Interactive and Adaptive Learning Experiences

Courses Developed in Smart Author are Responsive, Accessible and Compatible With Most Leading Learning Management Systems

Mobile, Responsive and Adaptive

The Acrobatiq learning environment is accessible and built on a mobile friendly, responsive design template. Certain elements of the course are adaptive to the needs of the individual learner based on the learning data we collect and model from each student. For example, students can be served personalized practice sessions in which questions are selected based on the needs of the learner.

Single Sign-On

The Acrobatiq platform supports the LTI standard for single sign-on through the LMS. Support for other standards such as Shibboleth, CAS, or SAML is available as a custom integration.

Accessibility

Acrobatiq is committed to making educational technology solutions that are accessible to as many learners as possible. Our Smart Author course authoring tools enable educators and instructional design teams to author lessons incorporating best practices from Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and American Disabilities Act (ADA) Section 508 guidelines for web site content accessibility.

Specific examples of functionality included in Smart Author to support accessibility standards include:

  • Alternate text for images when using screen readers
  • Transcripts for audio and video
  • Drag-and-drop can switch to keyboard control
  • Instructor-managed student settings allowing longer completion time for assignments and assessments

Acrobatiq’s pre built courseware in the Fast-Start Content Library was developed using Smart Author and includes the accessibility features noted above. To see examples of this functionality, please contact Acrobatiq.
